Dear Richard Dawkins

Dear Richard Dawkins, you’d think on the surface,
We’d have lots in common, that’s sadly untrue.
We’ve both studied primates, we’re both irreligious,
The main difference being, I’m more tolerant than you.

Now I may consider all deities fictional,
But if others don’t then I think that that’s fine.
Just because I’ve chosen to forego religion,
If they want to worship, that’s their choice not mine.

And while I admire your work in genetics,
There’s one thing about you I just can’t accept,
Your intolerance towards those with religious conviction,
Sadly dear Dawkins, you’ve lost my respect.

See I don’t think I should pay twice as much money,
Just to be sheltered from people who pray.
A teaching facility that’s only for atheists?
A little discriminatory I’d say.

Dear Richard Dawkins, you do talk about God,
Far more than most of the Christians I know.
And lumping all Muslims together as one,
You’re a dick Mr Dawkins, it’s starting to show.

You’re eighty-five per cent sure that religion’s delusion,
Which isn’t quite certain, I’m sure you’ll agree.
But I’m fully convinced that divinity’s bullshit,
You’re not even as atheist as me.

You seem to think someone who follows religion,
Can’t also be clever, and that’s simply not right.
You’re no longer my poster-boy for anti-theism,
You’re a judgmental prick and a blight.

And now, Richard Dawkins, I wish to be blunt.
You’re privileged, elitist, intolerant and racist,
And frankly my dear,
You’re a cunt.
